About Hello Whimzee

Hello! I'm Angie, the heart and creator behind Hello Whimzee. Hello Whimzee was born from something much bigger than crafts, it was born from a journey of rediscovering joy.

 For many years, I was a stay at home wife and mom, proudly supporting my husband's military career as our family moved wherever duty called. When we eventually settled in Texas, I found myself in a place where I didn't know anyone. I had no close friends nearby, rarely left the house, and slowly realized I had lost a little of myself. I was struggling with depression and needed something that would bring joy back into my life.

 I've always loved being creative, so for Christmas in 2024, my husband gave me a Cricut, hoping it would give me a hobby and an outlet for my creativity. Before long, I discovered sublimation and began making personalized gifts for my family. Their excitement was contagious. Soon my sister's coworkers were asking if I could make custom tumblers, my husband's coworkers wanted personalized water bottles, and before I knew it, people were requesting shirts, hats, gift baskets, and so much more.

Starting a business wasn't easy. I live with social anxiety, and putting myself, and my work, out into the world has been one of the biggest challenges I've ever faced. I'm also a perfectionist. If something isn't just right, I'll often start over because I want every customer to receive something I'd be proud to give my own family. Thankfully, my family believed in me long before I believed in myself, and they encouraged me to take the leap.

Today, creating isn't just what I do, it's what I love. Nothing makes me happier than seeing someone smile when they receive something made just for them. I love hearing people say, "You can do that?!" because it means I've created something they never expected. While I enjoy making shirts, tumblers, stickers, and so many other custom gifts, my absolute favorite creations are personalized hats and custom gift baskets. Hats are full of personality and allow people to express who they are in a fun, unique way.

My gift baskets hold an especially special place in my heart because they're never just baskets filled with random items. I take the time to learn about the recipient, their hobbies, favorite colors, interests, and personality, so every basket feels like it was made specifically for them. My hope is that when someone opens one of my baskets, they don't just see gifts, they feel seen, appreciated, and celebrated.

As I've grown, I've realized that what I truly love isn't one particular product, it's personalization. I love creating one of a kind pieces that tell someone's story, celebrate special moments, and become gifts people actually treasure instead of setting aside. Every design, hat, shirt, tumbler, basket, and personalized gift is created by me from start to finish.

While I'm busy bringing ideas to life in my studio, my son, Kalib, is the creative force behind our website and social media, helping Hello Whimzee connect with customers and share our journey. Together, we're building a family business that we're incredibly proud of.
